Greenfly will power the real-time distribution of curated content to over 250 athletes
SANTA MONICA, Calif. (March XX, 2025) – Greenfly, the leader in powering short-form content operations for sports, media, and other brands, today announced a multi-year deal with The Japan Ladies Professional Golfers’ Association (JLPGA) to power the distribution of digital media to athletes. The JLPGA will leverage Greenfly to drive sponsor value, engagement and reach by helping build the brands of its athletes.
Greenfly’s technology seamlessly collects and organizes thousands of incoming assets into easily accessible galleries, giving JLPGA athletes immediate access to personalized content from tournaments and major events. By equipping athletes with high-quality, tailored media, the JLPGA aims to enhance their social media presence, foster deeper fan engagement and maximize sponsorship value.
“Our collaboration with the JLPGA marks a significant milestone in Greenfly’s expansion across the Asia-Pacific region,” Greenfly CEO Daniel Kirschner said. “We’re excited to help JLPGA athletes bring fans closer to the game by delivering exclusive, behind-the-scenes content in real-time. We’re not only strengthening athlete-fan connections but creating new opportunities for global audiences to engage with the sport like never before.”
This is Greenfly’s first partnership with a Japanese organization, building on a decade of success working with leagues across EMEA and beyond. Strengthening its commitment to global expansion, Greenfly recently appointed Stuart Wettenhall, former Director of Business Development at Twitch, as Director of Business Development, APAC, to drive growth and deepen market engagement across the Asia-Pacific region. As part of this, the Greenfly app is available in Japanese.
Greenfly’s partnership with the JLPGA signifies a continuation of growth with the world’s most recognized professional women’s golf leagues. The company has been partnered with the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) and Ladies European Tour (LET) since 2023, enabling players to amplify their brands on social media and allowing fans to engage beyond the traditional tournament coverage.
“We are always looking for new and innovative ways to support our athletes and elevate the fan experience,” Satoshi Ogawa JLPGA Director of Business Strategy Department said. “Equipping our athletes with Greenfly’s cutting-edge technology will give them the ability to share the most exciting moments from tournaments with a global fan base, and modernize the way we engage with digital audiences. JLPGA has been strengthening its digital content, and last year, the total number of social media followers reached 700,000—an overwhelming figure for a women’s professional sport in Japan. With the introduction of Greenfly, we look forward to delivering new content to our fans and providing even more people with the new value of JLPGA.”
